Hi guys, Sam here. Your residential UK-based contributor, and the original Picky Pig. Chi and I talked at length about how we should name our blog and in the end Chi decided to take after my then Instagram blog's name Picky Pig in London (it's no longer active since I'm not living in London anymore, but check it out guys - @pickypiginldn).

Though I have to admit, inspiring the blog's name was the only contribution I made for a while..a good while..like 7 whole months. :D Life has gotten in the way and I was either studying or too broke to eat properly for a long time. But I haven't been wasting all that time, not all of it anyways. I tried to teach myself a bit of basic photography. I purchased a tripod and tested out recipes to see what I want to share with you guys. And now I'm ready-ish, so here's my hello.

So as you probably figured, I lived in London. Those were, until this day, the best two years of my foodie life. I am now living in a quaint little town called St Andrews in Scotland, pretending to be smart and pursuing a Psychology degree. As with all quaint Scottish towns, (especially one with three main streets) food options are numbered. But those that are around are mostly worth a visit.

I'm working hard to improve my photography skills and thinking about the things I want to share with you guys. London food recommendations, St Andrews food reviews and recipes are on the agenda. Everything I know about food/baking is self-taught. Having foodie friends like Chi really helps, from brainstorming new food concepts or troubleshooting a difficult recipe. 

Without her, none of this would be possible. So shout out to my awesome fellow piggy, or as she puts it, 'partner in crime and sloth'. (Chi, 2016)
